How the numbers work

Calls per week × 4.33 weeks = calls per month. That number × the share you miss = missed calls. Missed calls × the share who would have booked = lost jobs. Lost jobs × your average job value = lost work per month.

Read it as a rough estimate

The starting job values for each trade are placeholders. Your own average from past invoices will be more accurate.
Not every missed call is lost. Some people leave a message or call back.
This counts the first job only. A customer who stays with you for years is worth more.

Ways to miss fewer calls

Return missed calls within 15 minutes when you can. The longer the wait, the more likely they've called someone else.
Use a voicemail greeting that says when you'll call back.
Have someone, or something, answer after hours and during your busiest weeks.
