Tips for recording

Record somewhere quiet, not in the truck with the engine running.
Speak a little slower than feels natural, especially when saying a phone number.
Keep it under 30 seconds. Callers stop listening after that.
Only promise a callback time you can keep. If you say "within the hour," call back within the hour.
Switch to the after-hours greeting at closing time, or use one that covers both.

How to change your greeting

On most cell phones, open the Phone app, go to Voicemail, and look for Greeting. On a business line, check your phone provider's help pages for "change voicemail greeting."
